"What impressed me most, I think, was your ability to listen to a variety of points of view from our staff, committee, and Board members, assimilate them, and present us with sensible alternatives that took into account often disparate points of view."

Dr. William K. Laidlaw, Jr., Executive Director, Ohio Historical Center

Cultural Arts and Higher Education Studio

The glaserworks Cultural Arts and Higher Education Studio has been recognized in our region and the nation for the exceptional quality of its planning of cultural institutions and university campuses. This recognition is due to our ability to both express our client's institutional missions and accommodate the evolving needs of their clients - patrons, students, faculty, artists, audiences and visitors.

Our Studio has a profound understanding of building design and technology, and the economic and market forces that shape architectural solutions. We continually refine, reassess and supplement our knowledge by studying both traditional and contemporary solutions as they relate to our clients' needs. Insights gained from these studies allow us to maximize function, aesthetics, efficiency, and flexibility. We continually raise the standards of facility design - for the benefit of this, and future, generations.

Art Hupp, principal of the firm and market leader for the Studio, has amassed considerable experience in managing complex projects. Among the projects which he has led are Bicentennial Commons at Sawyer Point, multiple projects at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal, the Kentucky History Center (Frankfort), and the Ohio Historical Center master plan. Art has led the firm in its collaboration with national design firms. Such projects include Paul Brown Stadium, the South Lawn Project at the University of Virginia, and MainStreet, Varsity Village, and the Joseph A. Steger Student Life Center at the University of Cincinnati.

We believe our collaboration with some of the nation's top design firms and premier institutions has added dimension to our practice. We have learned how to build gracious and supportive working relationships. And we have earned a reputation for our complete dedication to design quality.

As the focus our work expands beyond the Midwest to the East Coast, we find our work is a challenging, collaborative, and complex endeavor which requires an in-depth understanding of those fundamental issues which lie behind creating unique and innovative places in which to explore, learn, study and live.

We invite you to learn more of our studio, the staff, our services, our work and, of course, the views of our clients.
