Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine
Bracket Village is comprised of new and renovated units. It is located in Over the Rhine, an inner city neighborhood distinguished by densely-packed Italianate buildings erected in the late 19th Century. These buildings usually have brick faćades, limestone lintels, and ornate cornices. Many of these buildings contained commercial uses on the first floor and residential above.
Bracket Village is not one building, but several which were inserted into the existing fabric. There is a community playground and parking internal to the block (created by the street grid). The new faćades match the old.
