glaserworks has the knowledge and ability to use the best graphic tools to tell our projects' stories. We were one of the first architectural firms in the region to use three-dimensional computer modeling in the design, presentation and production of projects. We continue to lead in this regard, maintaining the latest software and staff training to meet our clients' needs. Depending on the application, we use Revit, Form-Z, Sketch Up, Studio Viz, Illustrator or Photoshop for two or three-dimensional computer renderings, animated fly-throughs and the production of construction documents. We have not, however, forgotten how to draw and employ hand rendering if that is the best medium for presenting a project or idea.
We use our graphic skills to illustrate conceptual and finished designs and to create images for funding, marketing and portfolios. Computer graphics help us explore spatial concepts and color and material options and to study lighting. With the advent of Building Information Modeling (BIM), the same three-dimensional building model is used for design, presentation, construction document production, material quantity take-offs and shop drawings. The model, shared with consultants, facilitates coordination between disciplines. Increasingly contractors use our three-dimensional models to speed their understanding of projects and more accurately and quickly coordinate their work with other trades.
